Staff Training

Inclusivity Training for Professionals and Staff

Most healthcare providers and clinical staff were not taught how to be inclusive and supportive of 2S/LGBTQ+ people. Unfortunately, we bring our social conditioning and biases with us. Even the basics of language, terminology, and interaction specific to the 2S/LGBTQ+ community can feel overwhelming. Or maybe you and your staff have relevant personal experience or have taken the initiative to learn about the basics and are ready for the next step.

Whatever stage you are at, we are here to help.

Our training sessions can be offered virtually or, if you are in the Edmonton area, in person. They are a combination of presentation and interaction with a focus on practical application. The content will be tailored to your area of clinical practice and specific needs.

Consulting Services

Inclusivity Assessment, Planning, and Support

There are many aspects to making your clinic  inclusive to 2S/LGBTQ+ people. It can be hard to know what areas are most concerning, where you will get the biggest improvement for your effort, and how to do it right.

That's where we come in.

We can assess all aspects of your clinic. Our approach allows you to differentiate between safety concerns, important considerations, and signs of support. We give clear recommendations of what to do first, how to improve the biggest concerns, and how to navigate non-inclusive aspects that cannot be changed. We provide a detailed report and you can take it from there, or work with you to problem solve as you go and check in on your progress towards better 2S/LGBTQ+ inclusivity.
